LookBermuda Filmmaker & Photographer and Nonsuch Expeditions Team Leader Jean-Pierre Rouja has been name as a Sargasso Sea Commission Ambassador (alongside Sylvia Earle and David Doubilet) for his ongoing efforts to showcase and protect the Sargasso Sea.

These efforts include::

working with and supporting International Sargasso and Ocean themed Expeditions and Documentaries with: National Geographic, BBC Natural History unit, Silver Back Films, Mission Blue, Steer Digital Media , PBS, etc…
working with NGO’s as they study the Sargasso Sea including accompanying Green Peace on their 2019 study of the North Atlantic Plastic Garbage Patch
producing the Nonsuch Expeditions National Geographic Open Explorer Sargasso project
producing and publishing Social Media content for public outreach and to promote the protection of the Sargasso Sea
building up a library of still images and video to showcase the flora and fauna the live in the Sargassum in Sargasso Sea
monitoring and documenting the varieties of sargassum that passes by Bermuda along with the biodiversity that it contains
developing educational materials and curriculum assets
